Bi-metal Cable Lug
The DTL series of copper-aluminum bi-metal cable lugs are designed for transition connections between aluminum conductors (including circular aluminum wires and power supply cables in distribution equipment) and copper terminals on electrical equipment.

We use L3 aluminum and T2 electrolytic copper to ensure maximum current-carrying capacity.
Our fusion process ensures that the transition zone remains mechanically stable under thermal cycling, a common cause of failure in renewable energy systems.
Complete Range (10mm² to 800mm²)
Whether you need a compact DTL-1-25 for a distribution box or a massive DTL-1-630 for industrial transformers, VIC delivers.
VIC provides the following standardized dimensions according to international IEC requirements. Customizations for φ (hole diameter) are available upon request.

Advanced Friction-Welding Technology
Unlike inferior brazed or crimped lugs, VIC utilizes automated friction-welding equipment in our Lishui facility. This process achieves a 100% metallurgical bond between the 99.9% pure electrolytic copperhigh-conductivity aluminum barrel. This ensures the weld zone is stronger than the parent metals, with zero internal voids to prevent resistance spikes.

How to Choose Between DTL-1 and DTL-2?
DTL-1 Series
Features a standard barrel length suitable for general distribution equipment and circuit breakers.
DTL-2 Series
Designed with an extended barrel (L1) for high-voltage applications requiring deeper crimps and higher mechanical pull-out strength. VIC provides DTL-2 sizes up to 300mm² to support heavy-duty power supply cables.
Based on our 25 years of supply experience in Southeast Asia and Middle Eastern grids, we pre-fill every aluminum barrel with High-Viscosity Antioxidant Grease (contact paste).
This breaks down the aluminum oxide layer during crimping, a critical step often overlooked by low-cost manufacturers, which prevents connection overheating in humid environments.

VIC's manufacturing facility spans over 66,000 square meters across five specialized workshops. With a team of 170+ skilled professionals, we ensure consistent product quality and reliable service.

We partner with experienced logistics providers to offer flexible shipping solutions-by air, sea, or land-ensuring competitive pricing and seamless delivery worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Bi-Metal Cable Lugs
Q1: Why is Bi-metal technology essential for Copper-to-Aluminum connections?
A: At Victory Electric, we've learned through decades of field supply that direct contact between copper and aluminum causes galvanic corrosion due to their different electrochemical potentials. In humid environments, this leads to high resistance and connection failure. Our DTL series bi-metal lugs provide a secure transition, using a friction-welded joint to physically isolate the two metals, ensuring a stable and safe connection for your power system.
Q2: What is the specific advantage of Victory Electric's Friction Welding process?
A: Since our founding in 1998, we have perfected the automated friction-welding technique in our Lishui workshops. Unlike brazing, our process creates a 100% metallurgical bond at the molecular level. This results in a transition zone that is mechanically stronger than the aluminum itself and possesses zero internal voids. This ensures that even under the thermal expansion cycles of a 10kV-33kV grid, the resistance remains consistently low.
Q3: What is the main difference between VIC's DTL-1 and DTL-2 series?
• DTL-1 Series: Our standard range, ideal for general distribution equipment, circuit breakers, and standard indoor terminations.
• DTL-2 Series: Features a significantly longer aluminum barrel (L1). This allows for more crimps per terminal, providing higher mechanical pull-out strength and better electrical contact. We recommend DTL-2 for heavy-duty outdoor power supply cables and high-voltage transmission lines.
Q4: How does Victory Electric ensure the durability of lugs in humid or coastal environments?
A: We export extensively to Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, where humidity and salt spray are high. To combat these conditions, Victory Electric uses only high-purity T2 electrolytic copper and L3 conductivity-grade aluminum. Additionally, our QC team in our 66,000 sqm facility inspects every batch for weld integrity and surface finish, ensuring no oxidation occurs during long-term outdoor service.
Q5: Are the aluminum barrels pre-filled with joint compound (antioxidant grease)?
A: Yes, upon request, Victory Electric can pre-fill the aluminum barrels with high-viscosity neutral antioxidant grease. This compound is critical for breaking down the stubborn aluminum oxide layer during the crimping process and sealing the connection against moisture and air. This is part of our commitment to providing "ready-to-install" solutions for global utility contractors.
Q6: Can VIC manufacture custom sizes for special terminal holes?
A: Absolutely. While we follow standard IEC dimensions for our DTL-1 and DTL-2 series, our factory has the flexibility to customize the palm width and the diameter of the stud hole () to meet your specific equipment requirements. With over 170+ skilled employees, we can handle custom OEM orders with a fast turnaround.
